About Me

Empathic. Respectful. Ethical.

I am so glad you are here. Thank you for stopping by.

I believe that we are all looking for a sense of acceptance and belonging in this world. Usually, that belonging needs to start with ourselves!

In my experience, I have seen that self-compassion is one of the first skills and practices that we need to address. This is essential to growth and I am committed to working with others to develop an understanding of this skill and practice. Gratia is the word ‘grace’ in Latin. I believe we can stand to extend more grace to ourselves and those around us while creating a sense of connection with others to create wholeness within ourselves.

I find it an honor to work with others during some of their darkest moments in life. I have a passion for working with couples and women who are experiencing or have experienced difficulty in becoming parents, including those who have experienced infertility, miscarriage, infant loss, and perinatal/postpartum depression and anxiety. I strive to work with others to balance each person’s emotions, experiences, and expectations to find collaborative solutions that work for multiple parties.

Further, I have interest and experience working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-worth, grief and loss, perfectionism, communication difficulties, unrealistic expectations, relationship challenges, and medical challenges. Much of this is focused on missed connection with oneself and others. I have great interest in spirituality and provide Christian counseling to those that desire using their faith in therapy.

The above-mentioned factors have motivated me to become trained in The Daring Way™ curriculum developed by Dr. Brené Brown. Seeing others rise out of their vulnerable times to embrace their worthiness, and foster courage and connection is inspiring.  You will find that my approach to many areas of my life are channeled through these lenses.

I appreciate working with others from a place of humor, compassion, healthy boundaries, and self-care while fostering emotional awareness and personal growth. It is encouraging to see others draw on their experiences, opinions, and desire to generate change they are looking for to become the best version of themselves. I firmly believe that living a life that is authentic to one’s values and beliefs is essential to creating balance and peace. I strive to support others in finding applicable skills, including a variety of mindfulness-based skills, to incorporate into their lives to increase their ability to cope with unpleasant and uncomfortable emotions.

I am passionate about what I do. I find it to be a distinct, humbling privilege to be able to walk alongside others while they are showing up with bravery to make a new way for themselves. With that, I am so grateful you stopped by today.
