Therapy Services

What can I expect during therapy?

Your first session will be focused on getting a good understanding of why your seeking services, current concerns and dynamics, as well as some historical information. Together we will work to identify what your goals for therapy are. We will discuss current and past coping strategies. Once we get some of these basic but important details out of the way the magic of therapy really starts to begin – usually between the second to fourth session.

Therapy will focus on symptoms, their origins, and management of. Services will be about giving you space to iron out patterns that are no longer of service to you.

Individual Psychotherapy

Clients work with Brooke in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. The therapy is focused on exploring feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, working through challenging or influential memories, identifying aspects of your life that you would like to change, better understanding yourself and others, setting personal goals, and working toward desired change.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is a type of psychotherapy that supports couples to recognize and resolve conflicts or ineffective patterns of behavior and communication. The goal is to improve the relationship with increased connection, vulnerability, understanding and empathy. Couples therapy is a space to celebrate each partner’s differences while striving to work collaboratively.

Family Therapy

This is a type of psychotherapy that works to address concerns within family systems in order to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and build cohesion. Family work focuses on learning to better support others while also caring for oneself. It may include all family members or just those able or willing to participate.

Group Therapy

Joining a group of strangers may sound intimidating at first, but group therapy provides benefits that individual therapy may not. Group psychotherapy is when a group of clients who share a common goal or issue work toward solutions together. Members can practice new skills in this supportive setting with the other members. Often times group members are surprised by how rewarding the group experience can be.
